Ocean Cleanup
A permanent hobby added with the Oceanbound 2.7 update. You clean pollution off the floor of Whalefall Canyon, and the seashells you turn up convert into Collection Points that buy ocean furniture. Call of Whales ends on August 22 — Ocean Cleanup does not.
Vorbereitung
Whalefall Canyon is the underwater area added in 2.7. You swim freely in all directions and there is an underwater sprint for covering distance.

Enter Whalefall Canyon and talk to Naga
Talk to Rory
Open the Hobby menu (the shell icon at the top of the screen) and choose Upgrade to unlock Ocean Cleanup. You receive the skill and the cleaning tool.
Go to Oliver and start the mission to clean the polluted areas

Warum es sich lohnt
Most of the 2.7 content expires when Call of Whales closes on August 22. Ocean Cleanup is explicitly permanent, so the hobby levels and Collection Points you build now keep paying out afterwards.

Reach D.G. Member Level 7, enter Whalefall Canyon through the portal near the base of Whale Mountain, then talk to Naga, then Rory. Open the Hobby menu via the shell icon at the top of the screen, choose Upgrade to unlock Ocean Cleanup, and you get the skill plus the cleaning tool. Finally, see Oliver to start the cleaning mission.
How do you get into Whalefall Canyon?
You need D.G. Member Level 7. The entrance is the portal near the base of Whale Mountain.
How does ocean cleaning work?
Equip the Basic Ocean Cleaner, then press and hold the clean button until the pollutant is gone. Swirling Pollutants are the standard type; Hard-Shell and Hard-Shell Cracked Pollutants take more work to clear.
What do you get for cleaning the ocean?
Seashells, which accumulate Collection Points. Those points buy ocean furniture such as the Seashell Beaded Curtain and the Coral & Seashell Display Case. Hitting certain hobby levels also enters you into the draw for the Voice of the Deep gift box.
Does Ocean Cleanup end when Call of Whales ends?
No. The Call of Whales Fashionwave runs to August 22, 2026, but Ocean Cleanup was announced as a permanent hobby. It stays after the season closes.
